Christmas Village Germany... aka Rothenberg ob der Tauber

So we´re pretty much in the most amazing town ever right now... it´s called Rothenberg ob der Tauber in Germany, and it is the last remaining walled city in Germany that survived World War 2... which means it´s the quintessential Bavarian German experience. :) Cobblestone streets, flowers in windows, horses and carriages as the primary mode of transport, and friendly people saying hello from their windows and balconies. After a 7 hour train ride from Amsterdam on a rainy morning and enduring hurdles like trams breaking down, no sleep and loud German teenage girls for 2 hours of the trip, I was SO ready to be here... and the trek definitely paid off. We´re off now to have some schneeballs and kaffe, so I´ll write more later. It´s too nice and sunny outside to be on the computer! :)
